Kepler is excellent for fast geospatial exploration — drop a CSV, see points on a map, adjust filters. Its animation story centers on the time filter: you can play data through time and export that as a video. vs. After Effects / Motion Design

After Effects is the gold standard for motion graphics — but on its own it has no concept of geospatial data, map projections, or reactive data flow. The usual setup in this niche is AE plus the GeoLayers plugin, which is widely used and genuinely capable. It also means a paid plugin on top of a subscription, and the data still arrives as exported assets: change the query and you redo the work.
